To get to Playa Guiones from San Jose take the altapista 1 (highway 1) to
the Puente de Amistad to Nicoya That will take about four hours by car. Once
there head west, straight through town. After a half hour you will get to
the bomba (gas station) take the next right to Nosara. This is a 45
minute ride on dirt road, but don't get discouraged as paradise will wait
for your arrival. You
will see signs for Playa Guiones. Pass through town until you get to the
last exit on the left. There is a sign for Solo Bueno right there. Take
that exit and Solo bueno is on your left down that road.
Traveling by bus?
If so you will need to take the 6am Alfaro bus from San Jose to Nicoya. Once
you get to Nicoya you will need to transfer to the Nosara bus. Make sure
you tell the driver to let you out at Playa Guiones. El ultima parada. (The
last stop) The bus is always a good place to
practice your Spanish so give it a shot.
